Provincial Government brings Judicial and Administrative Offices under one roof

Continuous efforts of reconstruction and rehabilitation of militancy hit Infrastructure in Malakand Division, said Mr. Pervez Khattak Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was talking to the general public at the occasion of ground breaking ceremony of Tehsil Complex, Kabal District Swat on Sunday, May 22nd. Members from Provincial Assembly- KP,  Director General –PDMA-PaRRSA, District Administration Staff, Program Manager, USAID and elders of Tehsil Kabal were also present in the event.

Director General PDMA-PaRRSA briefed in detail about the Complex under reconstruction. He said, 255 million US dollars would be spent on the completion of this project. He said, the complex would be established through technical and financial support from the USAID and the tentative completion date is June 2017. “Chief Minister also directed the concerned departments to complete reconstruction work within the stipulated time.

DG added, the militancy 2009 and subsequent military operation in Malakand division caused severe damages to the public and private infrastructure. Legal Community & General Public faced hardship in access to Justice and other services. He said, presently the courts are housed in rented building which is overcrowded and deficient, therefore, there is dire need to reconstruct a full-fledged Complex with proper courtrooms, administrative offices and allied facilities. He said, the Tehsil Level Government complex Kabal Swat is designed to accommodate both the District Administration and the Judiciary. The aim as to provide maximum information and speedy services to the general public that will also contribute to building the confidence of the people in the District Government and Judiciary System, he concluded.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority had undertaken activities on a large scale to reconstruct militancy-damaged infrastructure in various parts of the province. PDMA-PaRRSA is currently working with international donors i.e. USAID, UNDP for development to bring improvements in Communications, improvement infrastructure and livelihood of the region.
