On October 10, 2019, Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized one day training on "Age and Disability inclusion in Humanitarian Response" for District Nowshera.

Under the supervision of KP Government, the PDMA-PARSA completed the first ever Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre in the province. It is the largest Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre in the country.
Due to delay of funds from the former Federal Government the project was in limbo. The provincial government then approached USAID to assist in funding the final phase of the project. In November 2017, work on the project was resumed and the task was achieved over a year.
On the direction Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation & Settlement Department, Dr. Asad Ali Khan, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) observed ‘National Disaster Awareness Day’ in collaboration with Social Welfare Department, Center for Disaster and Preparedness Management (CDPM) and Care International at Khyber Union Hall, Islamia College University, Peshawar in remembrance of the Martyrs of October 8, 2005 Earthquake, the greatest of all Disasters in the history of Pakistan.
Revamping of Provincial Emergency Operation Center and Establishment of MIS section—an ADP scheme of Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was inaugurated on 04.05.2017 at PDMA office. The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Pervez Khattak was the chief guest on the occasion among the other dignitaries Chief secretory Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Abid Saeed also grace the occasion. The inaugurated component consists of establishment of control room in the Commissioner Peshawar’s office and revamping of PDMA’s PEOC.
UNDP is working in collaboration with PDMA-PaRRSA is District Swat. In this connection, 703 Community Infrastructure’s schemes including link roads, irrigation channels, bridges and culverts etc. are complete while another 58 No schemes are near to completion.
Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with CDPM, University of Peshawar organized Disaster Management Exhibition to aware students of University of Peshawar and general masses about Disaster Risk Reduction and public & non govt organizations working in this field.
Provincial Disaster Management Authority had undertaken activities on a large scale to reconstruct flood-damaged infrastructure in various parts of the province. In this regard, the Ground Breaking ceremony of one of the Model school in Akbarpura, District Nowshera was held on May 27, 2016. Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak graced the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the School. Member national assembly Dr. Imran Khattak, community elders, concerned PDMA& PaRRSA officers and a large number of the local residents were also present on this occasion.
